Phoebe Sara (CEO)
Chief Executive Officer
Meet Phoebe, our visionary CEO and the driving force behind MediGIG. With a background in Law & Criminology from Cardiff University, Phoebe’s journey to healthcare staffing is both unique and inspiring. From working for Middle Eastern Royalty in Saudi Arabia to standing up for change in Crown Courts, Phoebe is dedicated to making a difference.
Her personal experience as a healthcare support worker and caring for her severely autistic brother has fuelled her mission to create a different kind of staffing agency – one that values empathy and kindness above all.
During university Phoebe worked as a Healthcare Support Worker and realised how underappreciated the workforce were and that’s when she realised she wanted to make a difference in this sector. Phoebe has helped care for her severely autistic brother, Abe since she was a small child and being a carer for Abe plus a carer for her residents, she realised her calling. She did not want to create a profit driven Healthcare recruitment agency for Nurses and Carers, like many others in the industry – she knew she had to create something different – a happy agency where the main objective is to recruit people who have empathy and kindness as an imperative trait and also pay them what they deserve.
Paddy Jane (Chief Nurse)
RGN/Director Of Nursing
Paddy, a Founder and Phoebe’s mother, brings over 35 years of nursing experience to MediGIG. A Registered General Nurse trained at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, Paddy’s expertise and compassion shine as our Lead Nurse.
Her journey in care extends beyond the professional realm. After her extensive nursing career, she spent nearly two decades in Saudi Arabia, broadening her caregiving perspective across diverse cultures. Paddy’s care ethos extends to her own family, as she provides dedicated support to her severely autistic son, reflecting her nurturing spirit.
Back in Swansea, she managed a grocery store, not just as a business endeavour, but as a way to assist her elderly parents during their later years. Additionally, during the challenges of COVID-19, Paddy offered free care to her elderly neighbours, showcasing her unwavering dedication to her community.
Paddy’s inclusive and welcoming nature creates a sense of belonging for everyone at MediGIG, embodying the values that drive our agency’s commitment to compassionate and exceptional care.
Danielle (COO)
Operations Director
Meet Danielle, the tech wizard of the team! She has been part of the family for over 17 years, having worked for our family business from the age of 17.
Dani has also worked as a Healthcare Support Worker and loved her role, she holds the same values as Paddy & Phoebe when it comes to fair pay for carers and recognises the pitfalls of the industry such as staff burnout, which we as a company are looking to eradicate. She loves all sport and is a season ticket holder for Swansea City FC. Dani is a passionate LGBT advocate, and this is felt throughout our entire company.
With a technical prowess and 17 years of experience within the family business, Danielle is our operations wizard. Having worked as a Healthcare Support Worker, she deeply understands the challenges of the industry and shares our commitment to fair pay and employee well-being. Passionate about LGBT advocacy and sports, Dani is an essential part of our team.
Admin & Support Team
Our dedicated administrative and support team members play crucial roles in the smooth functioning of MediGIG. Let’s meet them briefly:
James – Admin:
As one of your first points of contact, James manages shifts and assists with recruitment. A family man, an Everton supporter, and a football enthusiast, James brings a friendly touch to your interactions with MediGIG.
Alisha – Admin and Client Relations:
Formerly a carer turned admin, Alisha’s transition showcases her commitment to our agency. A mother of two, Alisha’s infectious smile and dedication to customer relations create a positive atmosphere for all.
Joe – Admin and Accounting:
Joe ensures accurate and timely payroll and timesheet processing. He also supports recruitment and shift bookings. A dedicated Swansea City supporter, Joe is your go-to for financial queries.
Matt – Financial Director:
Behind the scenes, Matt manages client queries and rates. A poker enthusiast and fishing lover, Matt’s financial expertise keeps things running smoothly.
